In 2011 the Editor-in-Chief of the People magazine janet Mock has announced something she hid for a long time. “I was born in what doctors proclaim is a boy’s body.I had no choice in the assignment of my sex at birth, my genital reconstructive surgery did not make me a girl. I was always a girl.” Born in Honolulu 1983 under the name of Charles Mock. As she grew up and went to college she has realised more and more that shes different than the others. At the age of 18 she decided to lie under the knife, so Charles went to Thailand for a sexual reassingment surgery. Later on Janet became an LGTB advocate, further helping the acceptance of transgender woman in our society.
