A true icon! The true bad boy! A role model for boys, an idol for girls. He is widely considered the greatest screen actor of the 20th century. He was Mark Antony and Napoleon, Don Vito Corleone and Jor-El on screen, but he also played on stage, for example in the theater version of the Streetcar Named Desire. Marlon Brando enjoyed his life to the fullest. He had several wives, even more girlfriends and is the father to sixteen known children. But the hedonist lifestyle has a price; Brando suffered from diabetes and by 1990’s his weight reached 300 lbs. His weakened immune system couldn’t cope with pneumonia, and he died of respiratory failure at the age of 80.
